City National Bank

URBANADD collaborated with the owners to design new signature prototype for the century old City National Bank’s forthcoming branches. The facility features extensive glazing to convey the bank’s commitment to transparency with their customers. The design is scalable: the central glass banking hall can be shortened/lengthened to allow site- and branch-specific components (offices, conference rooms, etc.) to be incorporated as required. Longitudinally, the banking hall connects the tellers on one end to a gracious lounge at the other. Daylight harvesting, occupancy sensors, and LED lighting contribute to the facility’s high energy efficiency. Through it’s simple but bold design, the bank aims to create a sense of both comfort and professionalism – and to establish the bank’s brand for the next 100 years.
