Hicks Hardy Residence

URBANADD collaborated with the Hicks Hardy couple on this new residence on the south slope of the Queen Anne neighborhood. This contemporary home focuses the major living spaces to the south with views of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay. Views of the Olympic Mountains and Alki Beach can be gained from the upper level. The dynamic two-story glass entry is framed with a cedar clad wall and ceiling that draws the guest inward with its warmth. The interior of the home is organized around a sculptural three-story stair that connects all levels. The cedar-wrapped, year-round exterior deck adjacent to the upper family room frames views of the Space Needle and Seattle waterfront.
